Dear Future 135 Midland Blvd Homeowners,

There was one thing that resonated with us when we purchased this house back in 1997, our inspector’s assurance us that whoever built the house in 1939 did so with great skill and care, which resulted in a well-built home. He also assured us of how solid the structure of the home was and whomever owned this home before we purchased it took great pride in its care.

At that time we moved to Maplewood for the school system, which was great for us and our child. We raised one child in this home, whom has grown up and moved on with his life. Wow, what memories we have collected over the years… kids on the block growing up and stopping by just to say “Hi” and to see how we’re doing. What a great feeling knowing people care, especially kids you’ve watched grow up around you.

We’ve also grown to love the surrounding community of neighbors, a diverse group of creative, caring people from all walks of life. Our connected backyards became a lifeline to great friends and wonderful memories. Our home is also a short walk to Borden Park and the community pool, the epicenter of activity during the summer! There is never a shortage of fun things to do living in Maplewood, just check the Maplewood Online or The Village Green Publication. And when you need to escape it all, quiet and privacy is easily found.

We have been so blessed and exceedingly happy here, but as we get older, we find ourselves wanting to be closer family. As we embark on this next chapter and turn our home over to you, we hope you’ll take heart in knowing that with this house, you are buying so much more than just four walls and a roof. Through the front door, you will find rooms that feel like home almost immediately. Through the back door you’ll find that an unbeatable community – and perhaps a loaded grill, and cool drink – await you.

We hope you will enjoy it all as much as we have.
