Dear Future 235 Coudert Place Homeowners,
We had seen close to 100 houses in the Brooklyn and Northern New Jersey area, none of which checked off all of our boxes until we saw this house. This was the one – we knew it even before we stepped inside.
The neighborhood that greeted us was idyllic- a gaslit, quiet street with children happily scootering up and down while parents chatted on the sidelines, birds chirping in the trees, the smell of BBQ and freshly cut grass, a friendly neighbor welcoming us as we walked up the sidewalk. We had no idea such a place could exist so close to the city. Upon entering the house, we were struck with the plethora of natural light and open flow, architectural details like the crown molding and two-sided staircase, three full floors of living space, more room than our meager Brooklyn apartment furniture could fill. We had visions of snuggling up to the cozy wood-burning fireplace during those cold winter months and entertaining and playing outside in the large backyard when the weather was warm, creating the outdoor oasis for our children we always dreamed they would have. All this and only a quick ten –minute walk to the center of town and the mid-town direct train to NYC. This was it. We were sold!
And sold we were! Almost nine years and three children later, we have created a wonderful life here! To say we have lived and loved here is an understatement! We thought we would grow old in this house, but sadly a work opportunity leads us out of the area. We hope to open our home to another family to enjoy, to build life-long memories and to love the house and neighborhood as we have. We know it will bring a wonderful life to the next lucky family.
We wish you much joy and happiness here. Welcome home!
All our best,
The Current owners of 235 Coudert Place
