Dear Future Owners of 24 Stone Drive,

We moved here from Manhattan to give our two young boys a backyard and ample room to play and explore. In every way, 24 Stone exceeded all of our expectations. Though the lot is listed as just over .3 acres, being on a corner/dead end street with the woods behind you and no neighbors looking in your windows, it feels like an acre or more. You’ve got nature everywhere – the woodpeckers are beautiful, there’s a fox you’ll see romping through the snow, and chipmunks will dash about. And there are so many stars!

The neighborhood itself is both friendly and private. Being on the top of the hill, you won’t see many/if any cars just ‘passing through’. Which makes for a quiet place to live. Meanwhile your neighbors are lovely. Some of the neighborhood is turning over to young families and you’ll see kids riding bikes and couples walking their dogs and walking the hills for exercise. And some of the folks who’ve been here for decades give the neighborhood an established reputation. Police make it up the hill frequently just as part of their patrol, and snow clearing is almost immediate … so don’t think you’re off their radar up here. On the contrary, you’ll see your tax dollars hard at work.

We also love that 24 Stone is super close to St. Cloud Elementary and all the amenities at the bottom of the hill. The school bus picks kids up right at the corner!  And we all love the ice rink and sledding the hills in the winter, and the zoo, walking the lake, and the pirate park throughout the year. Most of those amenities are brand new (within a year or two old!).

We’ve done many improvements to bring the house into the 21st Century including: new windows and front doors, new roof, massive front yard and backyard tree removal, floorplan renovations to the first floor, new hardwood floors throughout and carpeting upstairs, and an updating of the security system… all whilst trying to maintain the charm of this 1960’s home.
