We moved into our condo as a newly married couple and truly enjoyed our time living here. With the open layout, spacious sun-filled rooms, many building amenities, and superb neighborhood, it was the perfect first home for us. We loved having large amounts of space for entertaining guests and hosting get-togethers. We appreciated the privacy of a master bedroom and bathroom. It was great never feeling cramped and not having to worry about storage!
During our time living in the condo, we treasured the community of the building. The superintendent is extremely attentive and is happy to help out if anything in the unit needs maintenance or repairs. In the winter, sidewalks and parking lots were always shoveled in the mornings, though due to our covered parking spot, we never had to worry about digging out our car. We enjoyed holiday cookie baking parties with our neighbors. We always made new friends at the annual pool party and loved swimming during the hot summer months. The on premise 24-hour gym helped us keep in shape on our schedule.
As constant New York commuters, having the train station minutes away was a blessing. The condo is a short walk to downtown Maplewood which is filled with award winning restaurants and home to many independent shops. It’s not surprising Maplewood was voted “Best Downtown in NJ” in 2015 by NJ Monthly. During the summer, the town also hosts frequent outdoor events at the local park – the most popular is a multi-day outdoor festival/concert called “Maplewoodstock.” You can even see the 4th of July fireworks from our condo’s living room windows or head up to the roof for a great view!
